Prayer Times collects no personal data, creates no accounts, does not track users and shows no ads. Your location, settings and prayer records stay on your device.
The app collects no personal data and shares nothing with third parties. It creates no account and requires no sign-in. It uses no third-party advertising or analytics.
Prayer times and the qibla direction are calculated from the latitude and longitude of your location. The app asks for location permission only when you choose automatic location; if you pick your city from the list instead, location permission is never requested.
Your location never leaves your device. All calculation happens on the device; your coordinates are not sent to any server and are not logged. There is no background location tracking — the app reads your location only while you are using it and only at your request.
Prayer reminders and the persistent countdown notification are scheduled on your device using the operating system's own alarm and notification services. This requires notification permission, exact alarm permission, and the boot-completed signal so alarms can be restored after a restart. None of these collect data or send anything anywhere.
The prayers you record, your missed-prayer counts, your selected city and all app settings are stored only in your device's own storage. They are not uploaded or backed up to us. Uninstalling the app deletes them.
On launch the app downloads a single static configuration file to learn the minimum supported version. No personal data is sent with this request. Prayer times are not fetched from the internet — they are calculated on the device, and the app works fully offline.
The app is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data from children.
Times are produced by astronomical calculation according to the calculation method you select. They may differ by a few minutes from the official calendar where you live; regional practices and school-of-thought preferences vary. When in doubt, follow your local religious authority's calendar. The qibla direction relies on your device's compass sensor and can be affected by magnetic interference.
If a feature that collects data is ever added, this page will be updated and the Google Play data safety declaration will be changed accordingly.
